Cape Town Wedding: Charlotte and Luc

This wedding was very special to me, not only because Charlotte and Luc are lovely and super easy to work with, but because this wedding was held at one of my favourite venues (it is also my chosen venue for my own wedding that would have happened this year, but due to COVID-19, has had to be postponed to next year) Working at this venue is always a joy and I really love the weddings we plan here. 

Charlotte and Luc are based in the UK and so we planned this whole wedding via Skype and email. Charlotte was actually very chilled and it was a pleasure to pull this all together for her. On the day she was ready well before the ceremony, and just incredibly relaxed! It was so refreshing to see. 

The ceremony was held overlooking the venues beautiful horse paddock, the cocktail hour was festive and AmaAmbush entertained the guests while they nibbled on the fantastic canape’s and drank tasty cocktails.

The flowers were so pretty and I loved that the couple wanted round tables, at this particular venue, we usually only do one long table. So this was a nice change. 

They did away with the first dance, cake cutting and garter toss etc, so this meant they were on the dance floor nice and early. I love it when the couple can just let go and enjoy themselves with their friends and family for as long as possible. Although the small traditions are nice, it is always good to mix things up if those things aren’t incredibly important to you. 

All in all, a lovely wedding with super nice people – pretty much all you can ask for!
